1.     Trinmul Congress Leader Mamta Banerjee withdrawn her support to UPA (United progressive alliance) on 18-9-12. She has 19 MP to support UPA.

2.     In sports on 18-9-12, Twenty-20 World Cup started in Srilanka.

 3.    Ajantha Mendis produced a dream bowling performance in Twenty-20 World Cup. In Srilanka at Hambantota. He took 6 wickets for just 8 runs. His spell was 4 overs 2 maidens 8 runs and 6 wickets. Srilanka defeated Zimbabwe  by 82 runs. This was the first match in Twenty-20 World Cup.
