Haji Ghulam Rasool Dar 110 years of age of Kashmir had successful surgery for stomach cancer treatment. he was operated in Apollo hospital, Delhi. Dr Sameer Kaul said Haji has no complications regarding age based ailments. He told-Age is no bar to undergo surgery. If There is willpower and  support of the family, one can survive  anything.
He wants to go home as early as possible.

LAND BILL CLEARS IN LOK SABHA

 The Loksabha on Thursday  passed the controversial land bill, giving a government battered by stinging criticism over the economy's poor run something to cheer about.
The Key Features are :
CONSENT : 80% landowners must okay land acquisition for  private projects, 70% in case of public private projects.
COMPENSATION : four times market value in rural areas, double in urban areas.
EMERGENCY CLAUSE : Govt can't use clause arbitrarily to acquire land in short time.


MOST WANTED TERRORIST YASIN BHATKAL TRAPPED IN POKHARA (NEPAL)

Most wanted criminal and accused of several bomb attacks IM terrorist Yasin Bhatkal was arrested in Nepal. A reliable informer gave Indian officials  on Bhatkal's where abouts and a phone Number for him. Bhatkal's phone was trapped for few weeks and IB passed information to the Nepal Police, who tracked him to Pokhara. 
 Bhatkal's right hand  Asadullah Akhtar also known as Haddi, was also nabbed in the same house.
Earlier LET Bombmaker Abdul karim Tunda was also arrested by officials.


SCIENTISTS GROW BRAIN IN LAB

In a major successful  work, scientists in London has grown the first  mini Human Brain in a Laboratory. This could lead to new levels of understanding about the way brain develop.. But the research team said the work was  a very long  way from  growing a fully functioning  human brain in laboratory.

All eyes are again on a golden clash. India's top two woman Badminton players will clash for the inaugural IBL trophy. Avadhe warriors beat Mumbai Masters 3-2 to advance in the Final to have a clash with Hydrabad Hotshots.

  Earlier Hyderabad Hotshots stormed into the finals of the inaugural Indian Badminton League (IBL) 3-0 in the first semi-finals against Pune Pistons at the GMC Balayogi indoor stadiumon 28-8-13.

The Final will be played on August 31 (Saturday) at 8PM in Mumbai.

The Caribbean Premier League  is an annual Twenty20 cricket tournament held in the Caribbean by the West Indies Cricket Board. It was created in 2013 and replaced the Caribbean Twenty20 as the premier Twenty20 competition in the Caribbean. It is currently sponsored by Limacol and thus officially titled the Limacol CPL.The inaugural tournament was won by the Jamaica Tallawahs who defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final.
