American author Adam
Johnson. It deals with intertwined themes of
propaganda, identity and state power in North
Korea.

India origin Economist Raj Chetty won
John Bates Clark Medal for 2013. Raj
Chetty, an economist at Harvard University, has won the 2013 John Bates Clark Medal, a laurel considered
by many economists to be second only to the Nobel Prize.

conferred with the Padma Vibhushan in 2009 and the Padma Bhushan in 1972 has
died on 22nd July 2013 in Italy.

L. Brojeshori Devi, the Olympian Judo player passed away at Coimbatore on 22nd
July 2013. She was 32 years of age.

ILO association and Moon Express would start world’s first mission to south
pole of the Moon for installation of a permanent telescope.

ace Vijay Amritraj in Chennai.

Russian Tennis player Maria Sharapova topped the Rorbes list of highest-paid
female athletes for the ninth straight year.
