1.   RAGHURAM GOVIND RAJAN.was on 6^th August  2013, Appointed as the Governer of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for a time period of the three years.

3.   Grandmaster  PARIMARJIN NEGI of India won the denmark’s Politiken Cup at Copenhagen, Denmark. He secured 9 out of the total possible 10 points.

23.   Nasa’s CURIOSITY rover celebrated its first anniversary on Mars on 6^th August 2013.

24.   SAMANTHA POWER sworn as new US ambassador to United Nations on 2^nd August 2013.

25.   RAVINDRA JADEJA on 4^th August  2013  became the first Indian Bowler since Kumble to top the bowler’s chart in the latest ICC ODI Player.

26.         World’s first Talking robot KIROBO was successfully sent into space on 4^th August 2013.

4.     DADAR and NAGAR HAVELI celebratrd its 60^th Liberation day on 2^nd August 2013. It was liberated  from the Portuguese rule.
